I am interested in the Cusp-Lok system, but there are so many choices. How do I know what to order?

To determine the best Cusp-Lok for your procedure, consider these questions:

What is the difference between the Cusp-Lok I and the Cusp-Lok II?

All Cusp-Lok I brackets come with ¾" chain; this length is suitable for the majority of cases. Cusp-Lok II brackets have 1" chain; this length should be used when the movement will be especially long. Note: for exceptional cases, custom chain lengths can be arranged by calling Customer Service at 1-800-257-9470.

Am I concerned about the bracket damaging tissue while being erupted?

If the "bump" of tissue is something you want to avoid, Low Profile brackets position the first link of chain parallel to the bracket face (rather than at the 90 degree angle of regular profile brackets).

Will I use a self cure or a light-cure bonding agent?

While any bracket can be used with all standard bonding agents, we recommend that users of a light-cure system try Chain & Mesh brackets. The stainless steel mesh allows a light cure bonding agent to be cured directly through the bracket.

Other considerations will include the particular tooth to be exposed, expected surface area to work with, and your preference of bracket shape. As always, if you have specific questions about which bracket is right for you, please call us anytime.

What are the benefits of the C-Sponge?

The C-Sponge is a replacement for a gauze throat pack. It offers a number of advantages over gauze:

  • It is much more absorbent than gauze.
  • It is resistant to surgical bur catches.
  • It creates a pharyngeal barrier.
  • Only one is needed per procedure (simply suction to drain).

Do you sell instrument tables and/or monitor stands?

Yes, we do. However, due to the special handling requirements of the tables and monitor stands, we ask that you please call us at 1-800-257-9470 when ordering those items.

Are all the items in your catalog on your website?

Some products (such as tables) that qualify as special orders are not listed in our web catalog. If you are interested in a product you do not see on the web site, please give us a call at 1-800-257-9470 and we will be happy to assist you.

Do you offer repair service?

Yes, we do offer repair services on several of our items, such as the Right Light. We also repair surgical handpieces, including brands we do not sell. If you are interested in receiving a repair quotation, please call 1-800-257-9470 or email us.

Will you be at the "xxxxx" meeting this year?

What type of payment options do you accept?

For online orders, we accept all major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). For other payment options, please call us at 1-800-257-9470.

How does Xemax ship its products?

North American orders are typically shipped via UPS. Our contract with UPS allows us to pass along preferential rates to our customers. The majority of international orders are shipped via US Postal Service.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

Depending on how far your office is from Napa, CA, most orders will arrive in 3-5 days (1-2 days for California customers). For urgent orders, we also offer all levels of UPS service, including overnight shipping. To place a time definite order, please call 1-800-257-9470.

If I order more will my shipping cost go down?

Online orders are charged a flat rate for shipping, based on location. This rate is valid for orders comprised of one item or many items. This special online flat rate covers ground shipping. For faster service, please call us at 1-800-257-9470.
